Aaron Draplin is the proprietor of The Draplin Design Co., a small design company based out of Portland, Oregon. He works with the simple but noble intentions of "making good work for good people." A look through his portfolio or a quick thumb through your collection of Field Notes (you know you have some one your desk) and it becomes clear he's been quite successful at that.

Native Hawaiian Berton Hasebe is a talented type designer working at Commercial Type. Berton had a hard time choosing between the Hawaiian motto or the English translation so he decided to make both. Good man. Here's to hoping that these letters get expanded into full typefaces.
